Terms & Conditions
1. General
These terms and conditions apply to H&M Gift Cards purchased via our business partner SVS UK Limited in any of our H&M stores ('H&M Gift Card') and to our H&M Merchandise Cards ('H&M Merchandise Card' or 'H&M e-Merchandise Card' jointly 'H&M Merchandise Cards'). By purchasing H&M Gift Cards, or using the H&M Merchandise Cards, you accept these terms and conditions ('Terms and Conditions'). H&M reserves the right to interpret, modify, or terminate the Terms and Conditions without notice. The most recent Terms and Conditions will always be posted at hm.com.
H&M Gift Card and H&M Merchandise Cards may be only used in H&M stores in the country where the card was bought or where the H&M Merchandise Card was issued. You can use the H&M Gift Card and H&M Merchandise Cards to pay for the full value or part of the value of your selected item(s). If your purchase online is not completely covered by H&M Gift Card or H&M Merchandise Cards you can use an additional payment method to complete the purchase. Please read more in the Payment section at hm.com. The receipt will always show the current balance of the H&M Gift Card and H&M Merchandise cards used in the transaction. In addition, you can always check your current balance online at hm.com, in a H&M store or by contacting customer service (see below).
2. Validity
Each purchase of H&M Gift Card is limited to a maximum value from AUD500. The minimum value for H&M Gift Card is AUD5. You can increase the balance of your physical H&M Gift Card by purchase of additional credit in any H&M store in the country where the card was bought.
The H&M Gift Card can be used until the balance of the card is zero. If the balance of the card is zero for three months, the H&M Gift Card is invalid and cannot be activated or used again.
H&M Merchandise Cards are valid for 3 years from the date of the last activation or purchase. At the expiry of the validity period, the H&M Merchandise Cards cannot be used for purchase nor can the unused remaining value be refunded.
The H&M Merchandise Cards can be used until the balance of the card is zero. If the balance of the card reaches zero, the H&M Merchandise Card is invalid and cannot be activated or used again.
3. Return
If you use the online return process for items purchased and paid for in full with an H&M Gift Card or H&M Merchandise Card, or if an H&M Gift Card or H&M Merchandise Card was used together with another payment method, an H&M e-Merchandise Card will be issued before any refund is made to other payment methods, unless you have used a credit-based payment method.
The H&M e-Merchandise Card will be sent to you by email when the return is complete. Gift cards and single use paper bags in store are non-refundable. Items purchased in store must be returned to store. Items purchased online cannot be returned in store. This does not affect your statutory rights.
4. Limited Liability
H&M cannot be held liable for H&M Gift Card or H&M Merchandise Cards once activated, which subsequently are lost, stolen, inactivated or damaged. Treat your H&M Gift Card and H&M Merchandise Cards as cash.
5. Privacy Policy
H&M Hennes & Mauritz GBC AB, is acting as the party responsible for all personal data that you provide H&M with. H&M therefore has a Privacy Policy outlining how your personal data will be processed and protected. You will find our Privacy Policy in full here.
